As a seller you must do what you can to remove moldy spots and repair them.

This happens when moisture doesn’t dry out because of the humidity in the air and mold spores are then allowed to grow uninhibited. The newest information, though, links black mold mycotoxins with health problems in people who are otherwise healthy and unaffected by allergies.

If mold is considered relatively minor and not damaging, the insurance companies would not have recently changed their policies to reflect exclusion in most cases for mold damage to the inhabitants of the house, the contents of the house, or the house itself. There are issues here, therefore, for both the buyers and sellers of homes. As a seller you must do what you can to remove moldy spots and repair them.
